Open Cut Examiner (OCE)
We don’t just train Open Cut Examiners — we develop future leaders in mine safety and operational excellence.
The role of an Open Cut Examiner is both statutory and strategic. These professionals are essential to creating safe, productive, and compliant open cut coal mining operations. Their presence directly supports the health, safety, and commercial viability of mining sites across Australia.
Becoming a qualified OCE is a significant achievement that requires years of industry experience, a nationally recognised qualification, and success in rigorous Board of Examiners (BoE) assessments. We provide the tools, training, and mentoring to help you get there.
Delivered in partnership with Spice Training Pty Ltd (RTO #40914), our RII40220 Certificate IV in Surface Coal Mining (Open Cut Examiner) program is renowned for its real-world relevance, flexible delivery, and exceptional success rates.
Whether you’re an aspiring OCE, a supervisor wanting a career change, or a current certificate holder seeking an upgrade or refresher, our services are tailored to your needs and schedule.
